Annual Members Meeting

Join us for our annual Members Meeting for the Westmoreland Historical Society.

At 7 p.m., we will host a business meeting, which will include a review of programs and financial data, and vote on amendments to the Westmoreland Historical Society Bylaws.

Revisions adopted by the Board of Directors in January 2020 must be approved by the WHS members to be effective:

• Update address in Article 1 to: 809 Forbes Trail Road, Greensburg
• Replace “of full age” with “age 21 years or older” two instances (Article 1 & Article 5)
• Delete in Article 5:
  • At the annual meeting in January, 2002, Terms of directors shall be designated so that one-third (1/3) shall have terms of one year, one-third (1/3) shall have terms of two (2) years, and the last one-third (1.3) shall have terms of three (3) years.  In the event of a vacancy, or expansion, directors may be elected at any meeting.
• Article 7: Replace “It shall not be necessary for the officers to be Directors” with “All officers of the corporation must be voting Board members.”

Following the meeting, the Kendra Exhibit Gallery will be open to visit Penn’s Woods; Plenty for the Use of Man and talk with guest curator and tool expert Bob Kendra as he adds additional insight into the exhibit. Test your skills of observation with a scavenger hunt through the exhibit.
