For kids who love history!
Leading up to the weekend’s Civil War Encampment and Reenactment on July 29 & 30, reenactors and living history presenters will provide an educational children’s program on Friday, July 28. This program will feature fascinating Civil War displays, presenters, and more!
The program will take place in two sessions, with approximately 8 stations. Visit the Blue and Gray Hospital Association and discover medical and surgical care in the Civil War, Meet Lincoln!, Meet the General!, Talk to the Invalid Corps, View a Weapons Display, Mountain Howitzer, Gatling Gun, and Ordnances Rifle!
The morning session will be from 9:00 – 12:00 and the afternoon session will be from 1:00 – 4:00.
Admission for Children is $10 | 1 parent/guardian is free, adult is $5
Children and their parent(s) can sign up for either session. Visitors are welcome to bring a packed lunch to eat at our pavilion either before or after their session.
