We invite you to celebrate America’s birthday at Historic Hanna’s Town, a Revolutionary War settlement! Visit the fort/stockade and hear how Hanna’s Town was attacked and destroyed at the end

We invite you to celebrate America’s birthday at Historic Hanna’s Town, a Revolutionary War settlement! Visit the fort/stockade and hear how Hanna’s Town was attacked and destroyed at the end of the Revolutionary War. Witness the Declaration of Independence read aloud as it was in 1776.
This event is FREE to celebrate Independence Day. Visitors can explore our site by walking through Hanna’s Tavern and visiting the textile exhibit in the Murry Beacom log house and the Westmoreland 250 exhibit in the Kendra Gallery of the Westmoreland History Education Center. You can walk our trails and enjoy signs about some of the women who contributed to the Revolutionary War effort in various ways. Reading of the Declaration of Independence will take place at 1:00 p.m.

Browse for bargains and support local history preservation. Proceeds from this event have been vital for the reconstruction of Historic Hanna’s Town. The quaint and historic setting hosts numerous vendors offering a variety of one-of-a-kind items covering a wide price range.Antiques and Collectibles is held the second Sunday of the month May through October. For 2026, these dates are May 10, June 14, July 12, August 9, September 13, and October 11.This event will be held rain or shine. Sorry, no pets are permitted; service animals only.ADMISSION: $5 per car.VENDORS: Vendors of antiques, folk art, historical crafts, and collectibles (please no flea market items) are welcome to set up for the day or weekend.
