Historic Hanna’s Town will open to the public for the 2021 season on Saturday, May 1. Enjoy guided tours of the Revolutionary War era historic site, which now features several new reconstructed and renovated log buildings, as well as a new walking path developed by Eagle Scouts last summer.
Reservations are recommended for guided tours, as space is limited. Please call 724-836-1800 x210 to reserve your spot. Tours are available at 11 a.m., 12 pm., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m.
Opening Day festivities will also include living history displays, militia demonstrations by Proctor’s Militia, I.B.W.C.P., and blacksmithing demonstrations in the new blacksmith shop.
Special sales on history-inspired gifts and keepsakes will be available in the Westmoreland History Shop. Westmoreland Historical Society members will receive 20% off their purchase, and non-members will receive 10%.
Following Opening Day, Historic Hanna’s Town will be open weekends in May, and tentatively Thursdays-Sundays beginning in June. The most up-to-date tour schedule and details are available on our website here: https://westmorelandhistory.org/visit
