Supporting History on Giving Tuesday

On Giving Tuesday, people around the globe will come together and show kindness and generosity by giving their voice, time, money, goods, and advocacy to support communities and causes.

With so many wonderful causes to support, we appreciate you considering the Westmoreland Historical Society. This year, we are spotlighting reconstruction of the Storehouse in the Fort at Historic Hanna’s Town. In early 2020, with the expertise on site to relocate the LeFevre log house, we decided to reinvigorate the Storehouse. Many volunteers have donated their time and talents to make this project possible. With the unexpected financial challenges brought on by COVID-19, now we need to replenish our storehouse!

$7 provides 1 foot of chinking materials (top to bottom)

$14 provides 2 feet of chinking material

$11 buys 1 foot of gutter

$34 funds the cost of the crane to move one log

$57 funds one linear foot of stone foundation

$107 puts new flashing on one side of the chimney

$140 funds a roof rafter
