WESTMORELAND 250!
TELLING OUR STORY WITH 25 OBJECTS
The exhibit tells the story of Westmoreland County’s history through the central themes of:
• Building a Home, Creating a Community;
• Westmoreland at Work;
• Sacrifice and Service.It is a community-centered history, not a comprehensive linear history. The 25 main objects are supplemented with images and related items to create a more complete understanding of how the 25 featured pieces tell a significant part of Westmoreland’s history. More than 30 historical societies, museums, and other organizations across the county have loaned objects and/or pictures for the exhibit.
