Historic Hanna’s Town is proud to participate in the 20th annual March for Parks, coordinated by Westmoreland County Parks and Recreation Citizens Advisory Board.
The March for Parks is a fun event to raise money for new park and trail projects in Westmoreland County. Marchers collect contributions individually or as a team of three or more (dogs are welcome to participate, too!). Last year, over 450 marchers and 60 local businesses and organizations participated in the event and raised over $80,000 for various park and trail projects.
Historic Hanna’s Town will be one of seven locations where the March for Parks will take place. Participants who register to “march” at Historic Hanna’s Town can enjoy walking paths, scenic woodlands and open fields, and a variety of historic points of interest, including 18th and 19th century log buildings, and an historic fort. Reenactors from Proctor’s Militia, I.B.W.C.P., will also have living history displays set up for visitors to enjoy.
Visit the March for Parks website for more details.
