Since 1983, Dean Helfer, Jr., has kept alive the tradition of wooden toys, games, and puzzles with his “Made in the USA” company, Channel Craft, in Charleroi, PA. Items are tailor-made for thousands of specialty toy and gift stores, museums, parks and attractions. Join Dean for an informative talk about his business, along with toy demonstrations and giveaways. This presentation is great for adults and children alike.
Also receive admission to our exhibit, Penn’s Woods: Plenty for the Use of Man, which is focused on woodworking crafts. Find more holiday gifts at the Westmoreland History Shop.
PROGRAM FEE: Free for WHS members and kids 5 and under. For non-members, $8 for adults, $6 for seniors and students thru grade 12. Please call 724-836-1800 x210 to reserve your spot.

Enjoy a beautifully prepared selection of savory and sweet treats served alongside freshly brewed tea, all in the welcoming atmosphere of the Steel House farmhouse at Historic Hanna’s Town. Gather with friends, slow down, and savor one of our favorite seasonal traditions.
