Historic Hanna’s Town was proud to participate in the annual March for Parks, coordinated by Westmoreland County Parks and Recreation Citizens Advisory Board.

March for Parks is a fun event to raise money for new park and trail projects in Westmoreland County. Historic Hanna’s Town was acquired by Westmoreland County Parks and Recreation in 1969, in collaboration with the Westmoreland Historical Society.

Proctor’s Militia, I.B.W.C.P., shared the history of the first Westmoreland County militia with visitors. Special thanks to Louise Henry for the great photos! It was a wonderful day to celebrate all the parks.

Visit Historic Hanna’s Town to pick up a Parks Passport and explore more county parks and trails. Passports are available at the front desk in the Westmoreland History Education Center shop.
